Can you hold a place before I apply?
Unfortunately, we cannot hold a property before you submit your application. Properties are rented on a first-come, first-served basis upon approved applications. -
Do I pay the first month’s rent and last month’s rent with my security deposit?
Typically, tenants are required to pay the first month’s rent and a security deposit. Last month’s rent is not usually required unless specified in the lease. -
How old do you have to be to apply?
You must be at least 18 years old to apply for one of our rental properties. -
Is the deposit refundable?
Yes, the security deposit is refundable, provided the terms of the lease are met, and there are no damages beyond normal wear and tear when you move out. -
Who needs a cosigner?
A cosigner is typically required if an applicant does not meet the minimum income or credit requirements. Cosigners must complete an application and meet all qualifying criteria. -
You have a property I want to rent. How do I apply?
To apply, there is a non-refundable application fee of $64.95 plus tax. Begin your online application by visiting this link: https://www.rentapplication.net/apply/serenerealty. Simply follow the instructions to complete your application for the property you're interested in. -
How do I pay rent?
Rent can be paid securely through our online tenant portal, which accepts various forms of payment, including bank transfers and credit cards. -
I want to get a pet. What should I do?
Please review the pet policy in your lease. If pets are allowed, you'll need to request approval from Serene Property Management and may be required to pay a pet deposit or pet rent. -
I want to move out, but my roommate wants to stay. What should I do?
Contact us to discuss your situation. Typically, we will need a written agreement from all tenants, and we may need to update the lease. -
My lease expiration is coming and I want to move out. What should I do?
You’ll need to provide written notice, usually 30 to 60 days before your lease ends, depending on the terms of your lease. Be sure to follow the instructions outlined in your lease for proper notice. -
Who is responsible for paying for repairs & maintenance requests?
Serene Property Management is responsible for most repairs and maintenance. However, tenants are responsible for any damage caused by negligence or misuse. Please report maintenance issues through our online portal to ensure timely service.
